The republic of Armenia is a mountainous country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. It is located at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe. Armenia prides itself on being the first nation to formally adopt Christianity as its official religion. Armenia is a member of the Council of Europe and the Collective Security Treaty Organization. It is a relatively small country with a population of 2,974,184. The official language of Armenia is Armenian, but other minorities are present such as Russian and Yizdi (kurd), however English has lately been gaining popularity.

The best way to describe Armenia is that it’s an open air museum. It is a land immersed in history full of churches dating back to 301 AD; that is 1,700 years ago! It is also a paradise of lush landscapes; Armenia almost never fails to surprise visitors. The mountain passes, valleys and canyons make it feel much larger, and Lake Sevan provides a welcome sight, with endless water in sight when you're on the southern shores.
