The Filipino cuisine

Like all other things in the Philippines, the Filipino cuisine is influenced by its intricate cultural influences. The Filipino cuisine includes a wide variety of dishes which include, chicken, meat, pork, okra and other vegetables; they have a wide range of broths and main dishes.

 

The unofficial national dish of the Philippines is Adobo. It is a popular dish that involves meat, seafood, or vegetables marinated in a sauce of vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, browned in oil, and simmered in the marinade. It is a dish made with potent and fragrant ingredients which no one can resist.

 

Another Filipino staple is Lechón (it is also considered the national dish).  Lechón is a popular food in the Philippines, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Canada, the Dominican Republic, other Spanish-speaking nations in Latin America, and Spain. It consists of whole pork roasted over a charcoal lit fire. This dish is served on special occasions and feasts.
