There are many activities to do to fill your days in Alaska, there is no such thing as a vacation too long in Alaska! Rest assured your days there will be the best and most memorable days of your life! Some of the things to do and sites to see in Alaska are:
Denali National Park (shown in the picture):
Few places on earth offer panoramas so immense that they test the human eye. Denali is surrounded by six million acres of pristine subarctic wilderness, craggy mountain peaks, and mammoth glaciers. This place is perfect for hikes, helicopter trips, skiing or even just observing. It is a place of serenity and tranquility where one can just enjoy the beauty of nature, marvel at the wildlife and be in a peaceful mindset.
Cruises:
Cruises are a great way to spend time in Alaska. You can explore different areas of the country without having to move your things each time. But what is even better is that you can just sit down relax as you watch the ever-changing landscapes, you never know you might as well see some whales!
Alaska sea life center:
Alaska’s only public aquarium and ocean wildlife rescue center is celebrating ten years on the shores of Resurrection Bay. Visitors to this “window on the sea” have close encounters with puffins, octopus, sea lions and other sea life while peeking over the shoulders of ocean scientists studying Alaska’s rich seas and diverse sea life.
Wrangell St Elias National Park:
Wrangell St Elias National Park is located in the Eastern region of South-central Alaska. The mountains there are referred to as the “Mountain Kingdom of North America.” It is the largest national park in the United States, six times the size of Yellowstone. Wrangell St Elias encompasses over 20,000 square miles of mountain wilderness – that’s over 50,000 square kilometers, or 25% larger than Switzerland! It is a beautiful scene worth viewing, and is a perfect model for any photographer’s camera!
